Fnatic Acquire Harstem

In the aftermath of the recently played DreamHack Summer Open tournament another team has made roster changes after Mousesports picked up the zerg surprise Protosser earlier. This time around fnatic have decided to pick up Kevin “Harstem” de Koning, the protoss surprise performer of the tournament.

The former mouse control player, who spent the better of the last 2,5 years with mCon, saw his breakthrough performance this summer at the DreamHack Summer Open. There he beat, amongst others ofcourse, the likes of ThorZaIN and Bly to end 9-16th out of the 256 competitors, after a close loss to eventual semi-finalist fraer.

With Harstem making a name for himself the Dutch StarCraft 2 scene is now looking a possibly a big 3, rather than the current 'Big 2' which consists of Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen and Jos 'Ret' de Kroon. Now that Harstem is in the Fnatic academy he stands a good chance to improve rapidly and perhaps start making a big(ger) impact into the international scene with the guidance, practice and mentoring by the likes of Oz, NightEnd and ToD.
